Survey finds consumers plan to increase travel spending in recovery

eBillme study asks consumers about anticipated spending post-recession

RYE BROOK, NY - May 19, 2010 - 52 percent of consumers say that as the economy starts to improve, they plan to increase their spending on travel. This is the top response in a consumer study released today by eBillme, and conducted by Javelin Strategy and Research.

The study polled 1,200 consumers to measure the top things they plan to increase spending on as the economy begins to improve and consumer confidence increases.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — March 25, 2010 — This month's new vehicle sales (including fleet sales) are expected to be 1,119,700 units, a 30.9 percent increase from March 2009 and a 43.9 percent increase from February 2010, according to Edmunds.com.

Edmunds.com analysts predict that March's Seasonally Adjusted Annualized Rate (SAAR) will be 12.4 million, up from 10.3 million in February 2010.

NPD: Apple Owners More Interested in iPad than Non-Apple Owners

PORT WASHINGTON, NEW YORK, MARCH 26, 2010 - Even though the iPad doesn’t officially become available for another week, awareness is strong among certain key demographic groups, according to a new report by market research company The NPD Group.

NPD’s Apple iPad: Consumers’ Perceptions and Attitudes report found that awareness is highest among current Apple owners, (82 percent), consumers with $100,000 or greater income (80 percent), and 18-34 year olds (78 percent).
