Opera Mini submitted to Apple's App Store

Unique users of Facebook grew more than 600% during 2009, helping the site surpass VKontakte, formerly the most popular social network among Opera Mini users. Twitter saw its usage increase more than any other social network, surging more than 2800% in just one year.

New State of the Mobile Web report from Opera shows 5% jump in global mobile Internet users

December 22, 2009 -- Oslo, Norway -- Opera Mini has garnered more than 41.7 million users worldwide showing a 5.3 percent jump compared to the previous month, according to the State of the Mobile Web report for November 2009.

The number of page- views in November 2009 went up 9.5% and data consumption increased 8.3% compared to the previous month. In Africa, Facebook has taken a strong lead and ranks as the most popular site in six out of the top 10 countries.
