4 October 2009 -- In the past several days, ICANN has announced recent milestones regarding changes in how the Internet community will use the Internet in the near future. New Explanatory Memo for Pre-delegation Testing for New gTLDs

The module 5 of the Draft Applicant Guidebook version 2 available since early February describes procedures applicable at the concluding stages of the gTLD application process, more specifically, a pre-delegation test addressing technical and other requirements the applicant will be asked to fulfill.

ICANN Opens Public Comment on One & Two-Character Names in dot-travel

June 10, 2009 -- A new public comment period opens today for 30 days on a proposed amendment from Tralliance to Appendix 6 and 7 of the dot-travel Registry Agreement. On 18 May 2009, the Internet Corporation For Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) posted for public information a request submitted by Tralliance through the Registry Services Evaluation Process (RSEP). The request calls for a phased allocation process for one and two-character names in dot-travel.
