ICANN and the CZ.NIC Association Announce the Installation of the L Root Server in Prague, Czech Republic

Marina del Rey, CA — October 26, 2009 — ICANN and the CZ.NIC Association today announced the installation of the L Root Server in Prague, Czech Republic. The L Root Server is one of the thirteen Root Name Servers which underpins the Internet's Domain Name System (DNS).

The installation in Prague expands L's footprint into Europe, in combination with installations in Miami and Los Angeles.

The module 5 of the Draft Applicant Guidebook version 2 available since early February describes procedures applicable at the concluding stages of the gTLD application process, more specifically, a pre-delegation test addressing technical and other requirements the applicant will be asked to fulfill.

ICANN's 35th International Public Meeting in Sydney Kicks Off in Two Weeks

June 8, 2009 -- ICANN's 35th International Public Meeting is just two weeks away. The conference will be held 21-26 June 2009 at the Hilton Sydney. A full schedule for the meeting, including a synopsis of each session being held throughout the week, is available on the ICANN Sydney Meeting website.

Highlights
