Sybase, Samsung SDS Strategic Partnership Unwires the Enterprise

DUBLIN, CA, May 14, 2009 -- Sybase, Inc. (NYSE: SY), an industry leader in delivering enterprise and mobile software, and Samsung SDS, a global integrated IT services provider, today entered into a partnership to deliver the new Samsung SDS Enterprise Mobile Service based upon the industry-leading Sybase® Unwired Platform (SUP). The latest version of Sybase Unwired Platform mobilizes enterprise applications across a wide variety of mobile devices and provides systems integrators, independent software vendors and enterprise organizations with the ability to easily develop, deploy and manage mobile applications.

Samsung SDS's Enterprise Mobile Service is comprised of a cloud computing technology-based mobile infrastructure and backend integration with various enterprise applications, such as ERP, CRM, SCM, etc. By partnering with Sybase, Samsung SDS will utilize Sybase's comprehensive mobile enterprise application platform within its enterprise mobile infrastructure, thus enabling fast and affordable service deployment for its customers. The Sybase-Samsung SDS partnership includes co-marketing and sales, as well as joint service development.
In March, Sybase and SAP announced a strategic partnership to mobilize SAP® Business Suite 7 for millions of mobile device users worldwide using Sybase's industry-leading mobile enterprise application platform.
