Executive Move Strengthens Alignment of ShopLocal and PointRoll

New York, NY – November 19, 2009 – PointRoll, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) and the leading provider of rich media advertising, announced today the appointment of Rob Gatto to the position of Senior Vice President of Sales.

In this role, Gatto will manage all sales efforts for PointRoll and its subsidiary ShopLocal, the leader in multi-channel shopping and advertising services. Under Gatto, the PointRoll and ShopLocal sales teams will be aligned and create a retail specific vertical sales group for both ShopLocal and PointRoll product lines. Prior to this promotion, Gatto led sales and client services teams at ShopLocal as Vice President of Sales.

Gatto has over 24 years of experience in the technology sector, managing marketing, sales, distribution channels and new market development. At ShopLocal, Gatto helped build the company from just a few clients to more than 100 of the top national retailers today. He has extensive experience in multi-channel marketing and a unique blend of expertise across media, analytics and Internet application development.
