.MX Domain Now Publicly Available
December 15, 2009 -- The .MX domain name extension is no longer exclusive to Mexican government websites. Now any organization or business can take advantage of the shorter and more direct domain name to highlight their Mexican heritage or promote a Mexican themed business in marketing communications or company advertising.
The .MX extension can be used for promoting websites or incorporated in email addresses. Additionally, organizations that already have .COM, .NET and .ORG domains registered can further protect their brands by registering the .MX extension.
“Having a short, easy to remember domain name is important to any business,” says Sean Kaine, Director of Domain Services for Network Solutions. “With .MX now available to anyone it can help establish the Mexican connection to a website easily and quickly.”
“We are happy to support the growing demand from both the U.S. and Mexican small business community with the launch of this new domain extension,” adds Kaine.
