Company named a finalist for the Search Engine Watch (SEW) Awards

IRVINE, CA, August 10, 2009 -- Local.com Corporation (NASDAQ: LOCM), a leading local search site and network, today announced that the company will be a featured presenter at Search Engine Strategies (SES) San Jose being held at the McEnery Convention Center, August 10-14, 2009.

Jeff Ferguson, SES Advisory Board member and Local.com senior director, online marketing, will be a featured presenter on the “Meaningful SEO Metrics: Going Beyond the Numbers” panel on Tuesday, August 11, at 3:00 p.m. The panel will explore ways to move beyond Page Rank, indexed pages or linked sites and into valuable metrics and ROI.

Ferguson will also moderate the “The New Search ROI: Measuring More than Conversion” panel on Thursday, August 13, at 12:45 p.m. This panel will focus on best practices and practical techniques that marketers can use to get started with "multi-conversion" measurement.

Local.com has also been named a finalist for the Search Engine Watch (SEW) Awards in the “Search Engine with the Most Relevant Results” category. Winners will be announced at Search Engine Strategies San Jose. The mission of the SEW Awards is to recognize excellence, as well as inspire innovation and encourage new ideas in search marketing.
