Kontera: Q4 2009 CPG Ad Spending More Than Doubles
CPG Companies Increasingly Turn to In-Text Advertising for Brand Lift and Brand-Building Efforts
SAN FRANCISCO -- Kontera, a provider of relevant In-Text Advertising and Information Solutions, today announced that Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies are showing a marked increase in using its In-Text Advertising Solutions to deliver engaging brand experiences directly to qualified consumers.
This increase, which began in the fourth quarter and is accelerating at a rapid pace in the first quarter, indicates recognition by brands that In-Text advertising consistently delivers on campaigns’ brand-building and brand-lift objectives.

For the fourth quarter of 2009 Kontera saw advertiser spending within the CPG sector more than double. The vast majority of the CPG campaigns used advertising units focused on brand engagement and market awareness for specific CPG products.
Just three weeks into the first quarter of 2010, the company has already received CPG bookings, in the form of first quarter Insertion Orders, that are more than two and a half times greater than it received during the first quarter of 2009.
Prominent CPG brands that have recently advertised with Kontera include Arm & Hammer, Dove, Rice Krispies, Snapple and Welch’s.
