CAMBRIDGE, MA –December 1, 2009 – Jumptap, a provider of targeting and mobile advertising solutions, today announced that Kevin Fortuna has joined the Board of Directors.
Fortuna is a media and start-up veteran with deal-making and C-level management experience at both Fortune 500 and smaller companies. As a partner at AKF Partners, Fortuna focuses on helping hyper-growth companies scale and succeed.
“Kevin is an extraordinary addition to our board,” said Dan Olschwang, president and CEO of Jumptap. “His operational and business development experience coupled with his successful angel investor and advisor experience will prove invaluable as Jumptap navigates our accelerated growth path.”
Most recently, Fortuna was president and CEO of Quigo, an advertising technology company which was acquired by Time Warner's AOL division in 2007. Prior to joining Quigo in 2005, he was the founder and Managing Partner of Dedalus Enterprises, a boutique M&A consultancy and venture firm. Prior to Dedalus, Kevin was a key operating and business development executive at two IPO-track internet companies: Juno Online Services and NBC Internet (formerly CNET/Snap.com).
Kevin has built and managed market-leading business development, electronic commerce, product development, engineering, logistics and customer service organizations and helped to create billions of dollars in equity value. Kevin has also been a highly successful angel investor and advisor to a variety of start-up companies.
“Jumptap’s carrier relationships, advanced targeting platform, and technology IP portfolio clearly differentiates them and ensures their future success,” stated Kevin Fortuna. “They have reached a phase of hyper-growth, doubling quarter over quarter, which is a perfect fit for my skill set of helping starts ups grow, scale and succeed. It is an honor to join such a stellar team and be a part of their sensational growth trajectory.”
“Jumptap is in the midst of an exciting period of growth, and Kevin’s knowledge and experience makes him a valuable addition to our team as we continue to increase momentum and further our leadership position,” added John Simon, chairman of the board for Jumptap and managing director of General Catalyst Partners.
