Endeca Technologies' Information Access Platform Named One of eWEEK’s "Products to Watch"
Recognizes McKinley Release of Endeca Information Access Platform for Rapid Development, Maintenance of Search Applications
CAMBRIDGE, MA, June 22, 2009 -- Endeca Technologies, Inc., a search applications company, announced today that eWEEK, the industry leader for strategic technology information, has named Endeca’s Information Access Platform as one of its "Products to Watch" for 2009. eWEEK distinguished Endeca for “offering the highly interactive Endeca Guided Navigation user experience across the full range of structured and unstructured enterprise data.”
Endeca’s search applications help people make better decisions by giving them access to any information from anywhere any way they need it, letting users search, sort, filter, and analyze large volumes of diverse and changing data. The McKinley release of the Endeca Information Access Platform replaces traditional search engines that make building search applications too costly or difficult, and it complements traditional enterprise applications by letting users search, sort, filter, and analyze large volumes of diverse and changing data from across the enterprise. McKinley also boasts a re-engineered engine that capitalizes on multi-core processors from chipmakers such as Intel to deliver faster performance on greater volumes of data on fewer servers.
Leveraging the McKinley release, Endeca is working with a growing ecosystem of eCommerce and Media software vendors through its recently announced Endeca Extend partner program. Partners build cartridges that plug directly into the user experience using Page Builder, a component of the Endeca Commerce Suite and the Endeca Publishing Suite. This means site owners can use data from site analytics packages, user reviews, user profiles, and any other sources to drive more page views and click-throughs. The result is an unsurpassed customer experience for end users, increasing revenue, margin, advertising inventory, and other critical bottom-line metrics.
“This recognition validates what our customers are saying -- that they need to solve specific high-ROI business problems with lower cost of ownership, faster time-to-results, and greater value than any alternative,” said Steve Papa, CEO of Endeca. “More than 250 million end users from around the world access information with our solutions. By enabling the unscripted exploration of information, Endeca is facilitating innovation for competitive advantage among more than 600 customers across all industries.”
