ooVoo Connects with Customers, Drives Engagement with Triggered Email
INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 30, 2009) – ExactTarget announced today that online video communications provider ooVoo doubled the growth of user-to-user email invites following the integration of ExactTarget’s on-demand email platform.
The results follow ooVoo’s decision to replace its in-house triggered email marketing engine with ExactTarget’s Advanced Edition that powers automated, real-time email invitations and lead nurturing campaigns.
"Smart use of the email channel has allowed us to tap our current customers to help expand our new user base in a very organic way," said Eliran Almog, ooVoo’s marketing manager. "Customers can also use the ExactTarget technology to deliver an ooVoo video message to one of their contacts, creating a more personal referral."
Using ExactTarget’s Application Program Interface (API) , an email invitation is automatically sent when an ooVoo customer clicks to invite friends to join their network. ExactTarget’s triggered email technology also powers ooVoo’s lead nurturing campaign aimed at converting free trial users into paid users.
The company also leverages ExactTarget’s list segmentation tools to engage inactive users. One of ooVoo’s most recent re-engagement campaign posted a 25 percent increase in product downloads.
