Commission Junction & BeFree
Very large, highly professional online affiliate services network created from the merger of the former BeFree and Commission Junction (CJ) with a large collection of offers in many categories. Unfortunately, many of the best advertising campaigns are tough to access (read on).
Now our experience with Commission Junction has been a relatively rocky downhill ride. Within our areas of interest, nearly every time that we found an advertiser and/or campaign that happened to fit within the niche vertical we were looking for we were denied. No bad feelings toward them, but it's an extra set of hoops to jump through for a simple campaign. Additionally, on those rare occasions when we did get a campaign running we NEVER made as mush off of it as we did running a simple Google AdSense campaign in the same slot. Maybe they were just sucky campaigns, but whose fault is that? Anyway, enough sour grapes...
CJ also has a pretty interesting offline system with their PayPerCall program. From the website:
CJ's PayPerCall programs enable publishers and advertisers to develop and track offers beyond the online environment. Unique toll-free numbers allow tracking of leads and sales that tie back to a consumer's online and off-line behaviors.
