Dunno, personally, I'm not really all that into their angle regarding the "partnership enables advertisers to leverage the Skype network to drive customer calls and leads" as I think it's as annoying as telemarketers, but if the competition is doing it...

LookSmart, billing itself as handling "Pay-Per-Click Search Advertising" used to be a web directory and web index, both of questionable utility, offering paid inclusion and free submission through Zeal.

Pretty much just a set of useless sponsored listings now. Can't even qualify as a search, but will leave it here anyway.

Google AdSense, SiteSearch, AdWords, and WebSearch

Tagged:

Google's famous AdWords, now available for small publishers. Google offers numerous banner sizes with targeted adword placements on a PPC basis.

Update: Google now offers Google SiteSearch and WebSearch in addition to AdSense. SiteSearch and WebSearch allow AdSense members to add Google search, with branded Google results pages, to their sites. Search results are presented together with separate sponsored listings, with a similar revenue share to publishers as that of AdSense.

NAI member.

No traffic minimum.

Quite simply, we cannot recommend Google AdSense highly enough. In our experience, it outperforms every alternative we have ever tried - and by a wide margin.

Addendum: Google bought the huge behavioral-targeting behemoth (sorry, is that redundant?) DoubleClick awhile ago, and now uses behavioral targeting technology in addition to the contextual approach, making them easily the best of both worlds. There's a reason they dominate. Let's hope they continue to resolve to "don't be evil".

This program has proved highly profitable for publishers who have been running AdWords through their main ad networks, and for very large publishers who have managed to strike independent deals. Highly recommended.
